MDE Property and VINE Projects

About Us

Matt Edwards (MDE Property) and David Walsh (Vine Projects) formed a development partnership in 2016 and since then have developed a number of convenience retail, child care, medical and small scale residential projects.

Matt and David have been friends since they met at school in 1990, with both having graduated from QUT with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Property Economics) degree in 2001 and both working in the property industry ever since. 

With David’s background in valuation and Matt’s in site acquisitions and development, the partnership has natural symmetries that allow them to expertly cover all aspects of the development process.

Matt and David’s primary focus is to operate respectfully and be easy to deal with, all while delivering much needed community infrastructure.

Matt Edwards

Matt has worked in the property industry since 2000 and prior to forming MDE property in 2016 he gained experience with the following large organisations.

JLL – Industrial sales and leasing.
Woolworths – retail leasing and site acquisitions
Caltex (now Ampol) – service station and truck stop leasing and development Puma Energy (now Caltex) – service station and truck stop site acquisitions and development and leasing across QLD, NSW and NT.

David Walsh

David began his property career with Herron Todd White in 2000 as an assistant valuer. 

He became registered in 2002 and in 2007 was the youngest valuer in the company to be promoted to Director. 

David now heads up the industrial division for the Herron Todd White Southern QLD entities as well as being actively involved in developments with Matt.

Stand alone 7 Eleven service station sold on a fund through to a private investor for $5.3M

136 Uhlmann Road,
Burpengary East

7 Eleven service station and a 120 place child care centre leased to Busy Bees. Site was subdivided and sold to a private investors for $4.672M and $4.825M respectively.

84 Bellmere Road and 5 River Drive,
Bellmere

7 Eleven service station and 5 specialty shops sold to a private investor for $7.925M.  Adjoining this was a 120 place child care centre leased to Busy Bees sold to a private investor for $4.68M.

10-12 Telemon Street,
Beaudesert

Stand alone child care centre leased to Edge Early Learning for 15 years and sold to a private investor for $4.636M

29 Bellevue Parade,
Taringa

Developed 4 luxury townhouses and sold them on completion to a combination of investors and owner occupiers.

37 Maleny Street,
Landsborough

Sie acquisition and DA approval for a 112 place child care centre and 2 residential lots on 4,700 sqm of land.  Vacant site with approval was sold to a child care owner operator for $2.45M.

131 and 143 Uhlmann Road and 116 Buckley Road,
Burpengary East

Amalgamation of 3 prominent adjoining lots in the growth area of Burpengary East and on sale to a large scale developer who is currently constructing a Woolworths anchored neighbourhood shopping centre.
